FT4 and FT8
|

I am actively
operating on both VHF and HF. From my home QTH, I operate on VHF using
a Yaesu FT991A transceiver connected to a 5-element yagi
antenna, which is pointed somewhere between 160 and 345 degrees. My HF activities are
conducted from a portable location, also situated within grid locator
JO21. For these portable setups, I use a Kenwood TS-480SAT paired with
the following antennas:
- Double Bazooka for 20m - Double Bazooka for 15m - 6.2m vertical antenna with 5.5 dBi gain for 10m |

To operate in FT4 and FT8 modes, I utilize the MSHV software.
For my home station, I run the Linux version on an HP desktop powered by Ubuntu and an Intel i5 processor with 32GB of RAM. For portable operations, I run the Linux version on an HP laptop equipped with Linux Mint and an Intel i7 processor and 16GB of RAM. |

For portable DX chasing, I deploy a Clark mast with a maximum height of 8 meters.
